Dredging Pioneer William G. Gahagan: Fair Winds and Following Seas

William G. Gahagan, P.E. passed away on November 14, 2019.  Bill was one month shy of his 90th birthday.  He was born in 1929, in Brooklyn, NY.  Bill is a graduate of Yale University and the graduate engineering program at Stanford University.    He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the time between graduating from Yale and entering Stanford.

Full Utilization of HMTF Passes in U.S. House of Representatives by Super Majority Vote

For Immediate Release

This evening the U.S. House of Representatives passed by a recorded vote the Full Utilization of the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund (HMTF), H.R. 2440.  The vote was 296 in favor and 109 opposed.  The voting required a two-thirds super majority of the House in order to pass under “suspension of the rules.”
