I am pleased to be invited to participate in a discussion of cooperation between the U.S. Jones Act industry and international interests for offshore wind, said William P. Doyle, CEO of the Dredging Contractors of America. Doyle will be moderating the first panel of the day. Companies looking to enter the maritime sector may not understand the traditional and longstanding laws and regulations that are integral to U.S. economic and national security. I am confidant, that with cooperation and discussion, we can move to a closer partnership with respect wind energy policy in the United States.
On April 8, Winston & Strawn will host a seminar in the firm’s New York office titled “Maritime Aspects of U.S. Offshore Wind Farm Installation: Next Steps.” Winston is co-sponsoring the program with the Business Network for Offshore Wind and Marine Log. Maritime Practice Chair Charlie Papavizas will lead panel discussions covering the following topics:
- Marrying U.S. and Non-U.S. Offshore Experience
